Bughs Lake Management District: Hlk - Bughs Lake Public Landing Restoration Project: Partnering with property owners, the Bughs Lake management district is sponsoring a grant to implement water quality and habitat best practices from Wisconsin\2019s Healthy Lakes Implementation Plan. Best practices, including fish sticks, 350 sq. ft. native plantings, diversions, rock infiltration, and/or rain gardens, will be designed and installed according to the Healthy Lakes fact sheets, technical guidance and grant application.

All funded best practices require contracts that must remain in place for 10 years and include the minimum operation and maintenance requirements described in grant condition #16 at the end of this agreement. If the landowner is the grant sponsor this Lake Protection Grant Agreement serves as the contract. If the best practices will be implemented on land other than the sponsor\2019s, a Conservation Contract between the sponsor and landowner describing the 10-year contract period, minimum operation and maintenance details, and data to be collected is required.

The Department may perform site inspections and/or monitoring to ensure project success.

Green Lake Sanitary District: Lmi-Df-Big Green Lake Loading Feasibility Study: The Green Lake Sanitary District proposes to conduct a feasibility study to assess nutrient loadings on Big Green Lake. The project will lay the foundation for reducing nutrient and sediment loads with the lake andits tributaries. Waushara County: Acq-Kusel Lake Land Acquisition - Petersen Property: Waushara county will acquire approximately 30.78 acres of land with 1,150 feet of shoreline to preserve and protect the shoreline and water quality of Kusel Lake. the primary goals of the property's management plan will be 1) TO MAINTAIN THE PROPERTY AS OPEN S[ACE/PARKLAND, 2) TO PRESERVE AHND RPOTECT THE PROPERTY'S SHORELINE IN ITS NATURAL STATE, 3) TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE PROPERTY'S WETLANDS, AND 4) TO ALLOW PUBLIC ACCESS FOR PASSIVE RECREATION INCLUDING HIKING AND CROSS COUNTRY SKIING.

Montello Lake P&R District: Lmi-Montello Lake Diagnostic Feasibility Study: The Montello Lake Protection and Rehab District proposes to conduct a Diagnostic Feasibility Study on their lake. This project will result in the development of a lake management plan while integrating all partners including the area community. This will be executed via the completion of a diagnostic/
feasibility study on the lake, watershed and tributaries; these elements will be developed and included: water quality monitoring on lakes in the Montello River Basin; water quality monitoring on six tributaries; flow monitoring on six tributaries; model tributary loads to the lake; land use impact assessment via SWAT modeling; internal loading evaluation; physical shoreline assessment; coordination and communications with all partners and public; management options and implementation plan.

Little Green Lake Protection & Rehab. Dist.: Lmi-East Subwatershed Water & Sediment Control Basins: The Little Green Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District proposes to design and construct three water and sediment control basins in the east subwatershed of Little Green Lake. Little Green Lake P & R District: Res-Little Green Lake Destratification Project: The Little Green Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District proposes to install a circulation system consisting of compressors, air delivery lines, filter system, and a housing structure. The circulation system is designed to ensure sufficient oxygen concentrations in the deep-water areas of the lake. Oxygen in deep-water areas of the lake will reduce the release of phosphorous from the lake sediment and decrease the level of lake fertilization. This will result in improved water clarity and algae conditions thereby improving water quality conditions for recreation and aesthetics.

Local resources to be provided include volunteer services during installatiotn, volunteer services regarding project management, and financial contribution from Green Lake County.

The project deliverables will include design and installation of a system of compressors and airline sufficient to circulate lake water in the deepest portions of the lake generally greater than 15 feet; report of evaluation monitoring of lake nutrient and mixing conditions after the system becomes operational; and, conduct pre and post operation public informational meetings and prepare fact sheets (current lake conditions, descriptions of circ system, goals/benefits/ecological effects).

Little Green Lake P & R District: Acq-Little Green Lake (Scharschmidt) Land Acquisition: The Little Green Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District proposes to purchase 45.61 acres of land known as the Scharschmidt property to help prevent nutrient loading into Little Green Lake.

Montello Lake P&R District: Lmi-Montello Lake Diagnostic Feasibility Study: The Montello Lake Protection and Rehab District proposes to conduct a Diagnostic Feasibility Study on their lake. This project will result in the development of a lake management plan while integrating all partners including the area community. This will be executed via the completion of a diagnostic/
feasibility study on the lake, watershed and tributaries; these elements will be developed and included: water quality monitoring on lakes in the Montello River Basin; water quality monitoring on six tributaries; flow monitoring on six tributaries; model tributary loads to the lake; land use impact assessment via SWAT modeling; internal loading evaluation; physical shoreline assessment; coordination and communications with all partners and public; management options and implementation plan.

Pleasant Lake Improvement Corporation: Lmi-Pleasant Lake Run Off Control: Pleasant Lake Improvement Corporation proposes to implement their stormwater runoff control plan. The project diverts the runoff and it's associated sediments and pollutants away from Pleasant Lake and into a sand discharge area. The project activities include North and South diversions removed and replaced, a speed bump and west edge ramp removed and replaced as called for in the approved plans.

Waushara County: Lco-Waushara County Lakes Study And Plan (Group A Lakes): Phase Two of this Lake Planning study will involve up to seventeen Waushara County lakes (Group A) : Alpine Lake, Beans Lake, Bughs Lake, Curtis Lake, Deer Lake, Fish Lake, Little Hills Lake, Irogami Lake, Lake Huron, Long Lake, Marl Lake, Pine Lake, Pleasant Lake, Silver Lake, West Branch Mill P.(White River), White River Fl (Lower Pond), Witters Lake. The goals are to characterize the existing aquatic plant communities, characterize existing water quality, develop tools for relating lake water quality to land use, predict sensitivity of water and habitat quality to future changes in land use, identify critical landscape features, provide a practical summary of these results for use by citizens and county staff, and characterize and map levels of shoreline development and determine any relationships between development and wildlife communities.

Green Lake Sanitary District: Acq-Green Lake Land Acquisition (Mitchell'S Glen): The Green Lake Sanitary District proposes to purchase 12 acres of land along Big Green Lake known as the Mitchell's Glen parcel.

Marquette County: Crystal Lake Management Planning: Marquette County is sponsoring a project to develop a Comprehensive Lake Management Plan for Crystal Lake.

Project final deliverables include: all data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, and a lake management plan that includes methodologies, results, and management alternatives discussion with an implementation plan.

Specific project activities include: 1) Water quality and watershed analysis / modeling, 2) Fisheries assessment; 3) Aquatic plant surveys; 4) Dreissena mussel monitoring 5) Conduct sociologic survey; 6) Shoreline and coarse woody habitat assessment, 7) Public meetings and 8) development of Comprehensive LMP & obtain DNR approval.

Special Conditions: 1) All data shall be entered into the SWIMS database; 2) Draft sociological/user surveys must be reviewed and approved by the Department before being initiated.

Pleasant Lake Management District: Pleasant Lake Supplemental Management Planning:
The Pleasant Lake District is sponsoring a Large-Scale Planning Grant to conduct supplemental lake management planning work to augment the plan being developed by the University of Wisconsin \2013 Stevens Point (Waushara County Grant). Project activities include:
1. Stakeholder participation (per grant application specifics)
2. Inventory course woody habitat
3. Complete a bathymetric study of the lake.
4. Presence / absence mussel survey
5. Aquatic plant surveys
6. Development of an APM Plan

2. Draft Project Report will be submitted to the DNR for review at least 2-months prior to the project deadline.

Tuttle Lake P&R District: Comp - Tuttle Lake Comprehensive Management Planning: The Tuttle Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District is sponsoring a project to write a comprehensive Lake Management Plan for Tuttle Lake.

Project final deliverables include: 1) Data from water quality, lake sediments, aquatic plant survey, stakeholder survey, AIS survey, shoreland and shallows habitat surveys, and watershed assessment; 2) Aquatic plant vouchers for any new species located; 3) Education meetings, workshops, and materials; 4) Annual reports; and 5) Lake Management Plan.

Specific project activities include: 1) Sample lake water quality; 2) Sample lake sediment chemistry; 3) Conduct aquatic plant point-intercept survey (following DNR protocol); 4) Conduct shoreland and shallows habitat surveys (following DNR protocol); 5) Conduct watershed assessment (by volunteers and contractor) and analysis of watershed land-use and phosphorus loading using the WiLMs model; 6) Conduct a sociological survey of lake shoreline residents; 7) Develop a comprehensive lake management plan (LMP)

Marquette County: Wood Lake Aquatic Plant Study: 1. A comprehensive intercept survey will be conducted (343 locations) according to established DNR protocols (WDNR Pub-SS-1068 2010). Spatial distribution maps will be created for individual plant plant species. Also, littoral frequency and relative frequency of occurrence will be calculated for each species indentified in the lake. Lastly, a FQA comparison of the plant assemblages of Wood Lake to other lakes in the same eco-region will be made.

2. Native and exotic plant communities will be mapped within the lake using sub-meter GPS mapping. Specific plant community types and dominant plant species will be illustrated on bathymetric map.

3. A single report summarizing the findings of this study will be created.

4. One meeting will be held with lake stakeholders to discuss the findings of this study. Remedial and other management options will be discussed with the same stakeholders.
